会议介绍（About Symposium）

With the supports from Ministry of Education, College of BioSystems Engineering and Food Science at Zhejiang University, and Zhejiang Provincial Association of Agricultural Engineering, Zhejiang University and USDA NIFA co-organize this international symposium with the focus on applications of nanotechnology and biosensors in agriculture and food. With a theme of “New detection technologies for agriculture and food”, the urgent tasks are to make interdisciplinary efforts, systematic approach and international collaboration in development of novel detection technologies for enhancing agricultural production and ensuring food safety. The symposium covers current global issues such as food safety and quality, animal and plant diseases, and environmental protection. The USDA NC1031 Nanotechnology and Biosensors Committee will have their annual meeting with the symposium and their researchers from different states will present the progress and achievements that they have made for the past year. The symposium also creates a great opportunity for the universities in both US and China to meet, introduce themselves and discuss the mutual interests for initiating their international research collaboration and exchanging programs.

This symposium is the platform for inspiring new ideas and authoritative information for all shareholders from government, industries and science community with the integrated wisdom, intelligence and experience for most in-depth analysis of core issues of biodetection based on nanotechnology and biosensing technology.
